Daily maintenance of your glass shower is highly recommended to preserve its appearance and longevity. When soap scum and hard water stay on glass for an extended period of time, it will eventually etch the glass. When that happens no amount of scrubbing will make it look new again!
I recommend you use a squeegee, easily found at any dollar store, to wipe down all shower glass and tile after each shower to preserve your fixtures. You can also use a shower spray found on the cleaning aisle of any grocery store. Simply spray on after each shower and walk away. If nothing else, simply keep an old towel on hand in the bathroom to quickly wipe down glass and tile. It takes about ten seconds to do and really makes a difference!
This will also help if you pay a cleaning service to come bi-weekly or monthly. If the shower is not maintained, your housekeeper will have to spend twice as long in the shower each time. That time could be spent in other areas of your home!
